The Procedure

Wrinkles often appear on our forehead and around our eyes when we smile or frown. These lines appear because our muscles contract to form different facial expressions. Over time, these expression lines begin to linger a little longer or become a little deeper, even when the face is at rest.

Anti-wrinkle treatments work by relaxing facial muscles that cause wrinkles and lines when you smile or frown. The treatment relaxes only the muscles beneath the lines where the product has been inserted, and the muscles responsible for other aspects of your facial expression stay active. If you have no further treatments, the muscles return to normal and lines gradually go back to how they looked before treatment.

FAQ’S About Anti-wrinkle Treatments

  • When anti wrinkle product is administered into specific muscles in your body, it blocks the release of acetylcholine resulting in local muscle relaxation. The effect usually occurs 24 hours to 2 weeks after treatment It is advised to wait 2 weeks to see full effect.

  • There is a slight risk of bruising. If it occurs, don’t worry; it’s temporary, generally minor, and can be easily covered up with makeup. Arnica tablets and hirudoid/bruise-eze cream can be used to help reduce bruising.

  • Depending on your concern, the effect of your treatment may last for three months or longer. You will be advised to return for regular treatments to maintain the effect. Please take note that it’s a unique experience for everyone and antiwrinkle results may vary.

  • A tailored plan based on your budget and areas of concerns will be discussed on your consultation session.

  • The recovery process is minimal, but for best results we advise that you stay upright for 4 hours. In the 24 hours after your procedure: I suggest avoiding strenuous exercise, no touching, rubbing, pressing, or massaging your face. Avoid wearing makeup on or near the injection site, avoid alcoholic drinks, avoid blood thinning medications like aspirin or ibuprofen, if possible. Do not apply heat to the area. This includes taking hot baths, getting into hot showers, using saunas and sun exposure.

  • Yes and this is generally ideal. Antiwrinkle treatment can be combined with other treatments.
